My nieces & nephew!

My sister-in-law and her family were long overdue for photos. So we met on Memorial Day at Centennial Park in Waukee to do photos by the covered bridge. It makes for a picturesque setting. My newphew is a ham and the crazy hair definitely adds to his personality!

Katie & Mya

I could have spent the entire day with these two. Katie and Mya were fun. Katie definitely needed NO direction in modeling. I think she may have a future in front of the camera... just natural. Mya warmed up after about 15 minutes and it was all smiles from there! Katie had broken her elbow the week before so we had a cast on for the photos. 1 memory they'll have forever of turning 6!
This is by far my favorite photo!

Baby Jack has arrived!

Baby Jack has finally arrived! I did this family about 1 month before Jack arrived. We did pregnacy photos, and of course Maggie! This was my 3rd shoot with them. Jack was perfect the entire time. It was a chilly outside, but we still stripped him down to nothing for the best outdoor shots. Outdoor lighting IS the best, and it was worth it. Nothing compares to natural light. So anytime you have a chance for outdoor photos - take advantage of it. The outcome is always 100% better!
He didn't seem to mind the cold one bit.

Eyes to die for!

Katie is now 9 months old and a little marshmallow. She has these piercing blue eyes - just beautiful! This was my 2nd shoot with Katie and she's scheduled to come again for 1 year photos. Looking forward to seeing this smile again!

Erin & Justin's Engagement Session!

Erin & Justin are getting married in October. They had a great day for photos this past weekend. We headed to the Salisbury House which is an amazing backdrop for photos! She's going to have a hard time picking - they looked great in all of them! What a cute couple!

C is for CUTE...and Chloe!

I took Chloe's newborn photos and this time she was back for 6 month photos. Chloe gave us smile after smile. I was super excited to get the "teacup" back out for the 2nd time. And Chloe was a bowl full of jello and didn't seem to mind being in there at all! Bring on the smiles!

More twins!

Evan & Elizabeth are turning 3 so we headed out to get some birthday photos. I was so excited to see an old fashioned tree swing! And our location was perfect for their dressy little outfits. I'm sure I'll be headed back there soon.

Turning 1!

While in Des Moines visiting for the weekend this family had a chance to get family photos & 1 year photos done. Rowan was also apart of the "cousins" photos below. It takes a pretty laid back baby to get all these photos taken at one time - and that he was! Perfect!

Cousins!

These cousins were all in town over Memorial Day weekend and Grandma wanted an updated photo with her grandkids! These are perfect examples of kids being kids. Everyone wants that perfect photo with all the kids smiling and looking at the camera, but look at how precious these are. The interaction is priceless!

LOVE little toes!

Anna!

Anna was diagnosed with a brain tumor called Infantile Desmoplastic Astrocytoma at the age of 3 1/2 months. She's a fighter and the sweetest little girl. She was a trooper during this shoot. She wasn't feeling well, but we still managed to get smiles from this little gem!
You will definitely be seeing more of her in the future! She has little brother on the way!!!
